Consumers are increasingly becoming more aware of the waste they create in their day-to-day lives. People are also more concerned about waste, pollution, and corporate environmental responsibility. The specialty coffee and tea industry, from cafés to packagers and producers, are highly visible in contributing to the problem due to consumers wasting single-use cups, to-go containers, and other plastics. Fresh Cup Magazine’s associate editor, Janae Easlon, will walk attendees through simple, easy-to-understand ways to think zero-waste, not only in everyday practices but also long-term. They will learn that zero-waste isn’t scary, and not only good for the planet but better for the future of the industry too.
